This is the second year that we got together with Mike's family to make
lady fingers, their grandmother's recipe. They make the cakes before
we get there, then it is dipped frosting, and then rolled
in nuts.
Although the fingers are delish, I don't think anything compared the "the boys" being together. It was funny watching them hang out. To me, even thought I haven't been in the family that long, since Mike's mother passed away, people have just strayed away. Or maybe it is just our hermit actions. Either way, it was good to see all of them. I told Mike that maybe they should just have a guy day, go fishing or something.
