Had to go down to Madison for a Dr's appointment, downtown Madison. Ever since I have been with my husband, I don't drive as much as I used to. Back and forth to work, but not downtown Madison. It is so compact and busy down there, maybe if I had a compact car instead of a big SUV it wouldn't be such a problem.
So here we are this close to the state capital as I have been in years, and in years, I mean probably middle school. The building was on a corner and we had to go into a parking garage that charged $25 and hour. Seriously? I don't think I could ever live in an area like this. I think the small town I live in can be a bit crowded. But I grew up in a farm house in the country.
As we left the building, and started heading back, and yes, you guessed it, rush hour. Those people are just crazy. And my husband tells me that this is easy compared to Albuquerque. Well that tells me I may never want to go there. I was clinging for dear life to the shit handle, or as my mother calls it, Jesus handle. LOL.
As much as I don't like going down there, I really want to be able to go do things that happen in a bigger city. Like plays and museums. This is one thing that I will try to strive for this year. Getting out and enjoying something.
